Fried Dill Pickle Mix, 9oz Cloth Bag Fried Dill Pickles – a unique and tangy treat. Perfect as an appetizer or party food. Another southern traditions, Fried pickles were invented in the Deep South in the 1960’s and people LOVE them! Definitely a customer favorite! For a thin coating on pickle slices, simply dredge through mix and fry accordingly. For a thicker coating, combine pickle mix and water or milk in a medium bowl and stir until batter is smooth. Dip pickles in batter and fry accordingly. FRYING DIRECTIONS: In a medium saucepan or cast iron skillet, add oil ½ inch up the sides and heat to medium high heat. Drain the pickles and pat dry with a paper towel. Dip each pickle into the batter and add to the hot oil. Fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden and crispy. Carefully remove with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel. Serve with you favorite dipping sauce (ranch dressing, blue cheese dressing, bbq ranch sauce or your favorite hot sauce.
